Mind2Innovate’ s partners and affiliated experts have long been sharing a rather extended experience related to the transformation of research, innovation and piloting projects into long-term oriented ventures and successful sustainable initiatives. In most of the cases these evolutions had to do with the launching of exchange mechanisms to share European “good practice” as well as visionary work and validation & impact assessment schemes, in the fields of learning and human capital quality, labour markets and employment, infrastructure and public procurement, including competitiveness, equity and the societal inclusion agenda. Such sustainable initiatives have also led to the long-term cooperation between European and Latin American, Asian and other non-European regional stakeholders, thus constituting an indispensable legacy valorized via the operations of the European experts’ communities.
Mind2Innovate has deployed and it is pursuing the approach of the network-based sustainability. This concept is grounded on the idea that, in typical international collaboration processes and even more in knowledge-intensive ones, sustainability cannot be based on individual results or on individual institutions, but must rely on the capacity to link with dynamic structures (the networks) that establish continuity of action in a given field of activity.
