The SOUL FOOD Project comprises a European initiative, funded under the ERASMUS+ KA2 Programme and aims at the social and professional integration of migrants and especially that of the migrant women (2024-2026). Through culinary education, digital upskilling, and active citizenship, the project helps women develop marketable skills and build strong ties in their new communities.

The Project is currently being run in Austria, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Sweden, with each location deploying the most suitable for the local socioeconomic fabrique application of the approach adopted and of the delivery scheme of the SOUL FOOD “Education Pathway”, the up-skilling Course which consists the main outcome of the project. The approach and the SOUL FOOD Course are addressing certain common among the different countries and European communities objectives, that is the empowering of migrants and especially the migrant women through a multi-cultural approach to food preparation and the culinary arts. What makes SOUL Food unique is its blend of practical training and community engagement. It’s not just about cooking — it’s about teaching, connecting, and uplifting.

More information about the SOUL FOOD Project and its implementation together with the piloting and the mainstreaming of the SOUL FOOD Education Pathway (Course) in the partner countries can be found in the project’ s web-site through the link https://www.soulfoodproject.eu/.

The SOUL FOOD Project’ s driving objectives consist in enhancing inclusive and diverse European citizenship through the empowerment of the migrants, especially the migrant women. The project aims at supporting inclusion by facilitating social and work integration through culinary-based education and cultural exchange. It focuses on reducing skills’ gaps and labor market shortages while promoting adult learning and participation. The project’ s innovative element lies in its integrated approach to education, empowerment and integration, using the culinary arts as a bridge between cultures, the enhancement of digital literacy and the fostering of inclusive communities.
